Bio

Zoe Lo is a violinist at the Mannes School of Music in NYC, where she studies with Rebecca Fischer. Born in Chicago, she loves performing chamber music, experimenting with different sounds, composing, and teaching students of all ages. She has won 1st prize in GMTA competitions and soloed the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto with orchestra. In her free time, she loves to go hiking with her dogs, draw sketches, cook homemade meals, and spend time with her family in Atlanta.

My approach

Zoe’s teaching philosophy is based on guiding the student to reach their musical goals, whether that be learning how to read notes, play a certain piece, become a better musician and performer, winning music competitions, scoring full points on ABRSM theory tests and exams, or preparing for college auditions and professional life as a musician. My role is to educate and inspire people of all ages to develop a deeper understanding of and appreciation for music and their instrument.

Zoe’s educational journey has equipped her with a deep understanding of the nuances of music performance, from performing in orchestra to creating artistic entrepreneurial projects. Her commitment to mastering the art of music is evident in her artistic accomplishments.
